How to Submit Detailed Feedback

Frame.io allows us to collaborate on your edits in one place. Rather than keeping track of emails, messages and timestamps across different platforms, everything stays attached to the video itself. This helps:

• Keep all feedback organised
• Ensure nothing gets missed
• Make collaboration much easier

When your first draft is ready, we'll send you a Frame.io review link. Simply open the link in your browser — there's nothing to download or install. You can watch the video as many times as you'd like before leaving feedback.

Frame.io automatically timestamps your comment so we'll know exactly where the change is needed. There's no need to write things like "around 2 minutes in" or "near the end" — Frame.io handles the timing for you.

The more detail you provide, the better. Instead of saying:

Specific feedback helps us understand exactly what you'd like changed without needing to guess.

If several comments relate to the same section, try to review that section fully before moving on. For example:

• Tighten this cut.
• Add B-roll here.
• Increase the music volume slightly.
• Add a transition between these clips.

Providing all of the feedback for a section at once helps us complete revisions more efficiently.

Whenever possible, tell us why you'd like something changed. For example, instead of:

Understanding your goal often allows us to make an even better creative decision than simply following an instruction.

Sometimes it's easier to show us than explain it. If you'd like something to look or feel a certain way, feel free to include:

• Instagram Reels
• TikToks
• Motion graphics examples
• Colour grading references
• Font examples
• Music references

Even if the reference only demonstrates one small detail, it can help us understand the style you're aiming for.

To keep everything organised, we recommend leaving all revision requests inside Frame.io wherever possible. For example, avoid leaving some comments in Frame.io, some in email, and others via instant messaging. Keeping all feedback in one place helps ensure nothing gets overlooked.

Before sending your feedback, it's a good idea to watch the entire video at least once. This allows you to:

• Catch everything in one review.
• Avoid multiple small revision rounds.
• See how different sections work together.
• Save time for everyone involved.

One well-organised round of feedback is usually much more efficient than several small ones.

If you're still deciding on the overall direction of the edit, focus on the bigger creative changes before requesting smaller refinements.

Making the larger decisions first helps avoid unnecessary work if sections are later restructured.

As revisions are completed, you'll see comments being addressed in newer versions. If everything looks good, you can mark comments as resolved to keep the review organised.
